Italian text Donne vaghe e leggiadre, vostra fama e splendore scenderci fan dal ciel con questi doni per darvi insieme il core. Hora che stiam’ a rimirarvi intenti, diciam lieti e contenti le chiarissime stelle esser di voi men belle.

German translation Schöne und reizende Damen, euer Ruhm und Glanz lassen uns vom Himmel herabsteigen mit diesen Gaben, um euch allen unser Herz zu geben. Nun, da wir euch eingehend betrachten, sagen wir froh und zufrieden, dass die hellsten Sterne weniger schön als ihr sind. Translation by Gerhard Weydt
