The principal feast of St. Michael the Archangel, known as Michaelmas, is observed on September 29. Other feasts commemorate the Apparition of Michael to Gregory (May 8, LU p. 1312), the dedication of Mont St. Michel (October 16), the rescue from flood of Achippe and the church at Chône (Sept.6). November 8 is the date observed by Eastern churches.
