Biography
Henry Temple Leslie was born in London, England. He held positions as organist at Victoria Church, Leicester, at St. Mary-Le-Port, Bristol, and in Ireland. He was known as a teacher of music and was active with the Good Templars, a temperance organization. He died in Hampshire, Isle of Wight. He wrote several popular songs for the temperance movement, hymns, a few part songs, and he edited a few collections of hymns and temperance pieces.
