Died: 15 May 1609, Venice

Biography

Croce was recruited at age eight for the choir at San Marco, Venice, by fellow Chioggian, Maestro Gioseffo Zarlino. He was Assistant Maestro di cappella at San Marco from 1590 to 1603, under Baldassare Donato, and Maestro di cappella himself from 1603 to his death in 1609.
