Vox clamantis in deserto, parate viam Domini:
rectas facite in solitudine semitas Dei nostri.
Omnis vallis exaltabitur, et omnis mons et collis humiliabitur;
et erunt prava in directa, et aspera in vias planas.
Et revelabitur gloria Domini, et videbit omnis caro pariter:
quod os Domini locutum est.

English.png English translation

A voice crieth in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord:
make straight in the desert a path for our God.
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low;
and the crooked shall be straight, and the rough places plain.
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
