English text
Let us wander down to the river broad and grand,
Flowing ever onward o’er its golden sand,
See the ripples bright as they sparkle on their way,
Making music all the livelong day.
We love to hear its merry sound,
While flowing onward ocean bound,
Its every ripple seem to say,
Come go with me, away, away.
On its winding banks bright with flowers we will stray,
’Neath the tall green trees we will linger all the day,
Never tiring once of the merry rippling song
Of the river as it flows along.
