English text
The earth is clothed in bright attire,
And Nature strikes her sweetest lyre,
The birds are singing,
The air is ringing
With music sweet and shrill;
Glad voices sounding,
The echo rebounding
From every vale and hill.
Our hearts to God in heaven we’ll raise,
In songs of sweet and joyful lays,
We’ll join our voices,
While earth rejoices,
And Heaven, and Heaven and Nature sing;
And swell the choral
Of praises immortal
To God th’eternal king.
