Latin.png Latin text

Sedit angelus ad sepulchrum Domini,
stola claritatis coopertus.
Videntes eum mulieres,
nimio terrore perterritae astiterunt a longe.
Tunc locutus est angelus et dixit eis:
"Nolite metuere: dico vobis,
quia ille quem quaeritis mortuum,
jam vivit, et vita hominum cum eo surrexit."
Alleluia.

English.png English translation

An angel sat at the tomb of the Lord,
clothed in a robe of glory.
When the women saw him,
they stood at a distance, struck with great fear.
Then the angel spoke and said to them:
"Do not be afraid: I tell you,
the one whom you seek, who was dead,
is now alive, and with him the life of all people has risen."
Alleluia.
