Latin text Is.63:1a  Quis est iste qui venit de Edom tinctis vestibus de Bosra? [Alleluja]. Iste formosus in stola sua gradiens in multitudine virtutis suae: Variant 1 Is.63:1b  Ego qui loquor iustitiam, et propugnator sum ad salvandum. Is.63:2  Quare ergo rubrum est indumentum tuum et vestimenta tua sicut calcantium in torculari Is.63:3a  Torcular calcavi solus et de gentibus non est vir mecum calcavi eos in furore meo et conculcavi eos in ira mea. Variant 2 Ps.23:7  Attolite portas, principes, vestras Et elevamini portae aeternales Et introibit rex gloriae: [Alleluja]. Ps.23:8  Quis est iste rex gloriae? [Alleluja]. Dominus fortis et potens Dominus fortis in praelio: [Alleluja]. Ps.23:10b  Dominus virtutum ipse est rex gloriae. [Alleluja].

English translation Is.63:1a  Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bosra? This that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength. Variant 1 Is.63:1b  I, that speak justice, and am a defender to save. Is.63:2  Why then is thy apparel red, and thy garments like theirs that tread in the winepress? Is.63:3a  I have trodden the winepress alone, and of the Gentiles there is not a man with me: I have trampled on them in my indignation, and have trodden them down in my wrath. Variant 2 Ps.24:7  Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Ps.24:8  Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Ps.24:10b  The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory.
