General information

Omnes de Saba with its verse Surge illuminare, quia gloria (Surge et illuminare, quia gloria in modern chant books) is the Gradual for Epiphany. The text is from Isaiah 60:6 & 1. There is also a Responsorium breve, "Omnes de Saba venient: Alleluia. Aurum et thus deferentes", said at the hour of Sext. There is a parody mass Surge et illuminare by Pierre de Manchicourt.

Not to be confused with a different text, Surge illuminare Jerusalem, quia venit.
