English text
Of peace restored we shepherds sing,
And plenty smiling o'er the fields;
Of peace restored the woodlands ring,
And all the sweets that quiet yields.
Of love we sing and beauty's charms,
Nor longer fear the din of arms.
Then let us dance and sing and play,
'Tis freedom prompts us to be gay.
