Life

Born: 12 October 1976

My name is Natalie Goossens. I’m a conductor and composer. Until December 31, 2009 I lived in the center of Brussels, where I worked as an educator at the Metropolitan Public Library. Besides my work in the library I was conductor of several choirs (women's choir Cantoremus, vocal ensemble Gaudeamus), singer in a chamber choir for contemporary music (Aquarius) and student composition in Antwerp.

In recent years I obtained Master Degrees in Music Theory (1999), Harmony-Counterpoint-Fugue (1999) and Clarinet (2001), a certificate to the Library School (2007) and a Master in Composition (2009). In 2012 I also obtained a Bachelor Degree in Choir Conducting.

After having lived in Zeist for two years, I now live in Duiven with my family (since late 2011). As a choir conductor I lead the choral rehearsals and performances of three choirs: the mixed choir Couleur Locale in Heteren, the mixed choir Vivace in Westervoort and the pop choir Look Who's Singing in Duiven. Besides my job as a conductor, I'm arranger and composer of new choral works.
