Latin text Miserere nostri Deus omnium, respice nos et ostende nobis lucem miserationum tuarum, et immitte timorem tuum super gentes quae non exquisierunt te, ut enarrent mirabilia tua et cognoscant, quod non est Deus praeter te, Domine. Alleva manum tuam super gentes alienas, ut videant potentiam tuam. Sicut enim in conspectu eorum sanctificatus es in nobis, sic in conspectu nostro magnificaberis in eis, ut cognoscant, sicut et nos cognovimus, quod non est Deus praeter te, Domine. Ecclesiasticus 36,1-5

Hungarian translation Könyörülj rajtunk, mindenség Istene, tekints ránk, és mutasd meg nekünk irgalmad világosságát! Bocsásd félelmedet a népekre, akik nem keresnek téged, hogy híreszteljék csodás tetteidet, és hadd tudják meg, hogy nincs Isten kívüled, Uram! Emeld fel kezedet az idegen népek ellen, hogy lássák hatalmadat! Amint fölöttünk szentnek bizonyultál az ő szemük láttára, úgy mutasd magad dicsőnek irányukban szemünk előtt, hadd ismerjék meg, amint mi már tudjuk, hogy nincs Isten kívüled, Uram!
