Latin text Inter vestibulum et altare plorabunt sacerdotes ministri Domini, dicentes: Parce, Domine parce populo tuo: et ne des hereditatem tuam in opprobrium ut non dominentur eis nationes. Alternative last line et ne claudas ora canentium te, Domine.

English translation Between the porch and the altar the priests, the Lord's ministers, shall weep, and shall say: Spare, O Lord, spare thy people: and give not thy inheritance to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them.
