Biography

George E. Whiting was an influential composer, organist, and teacher in the late nineteenth century, his life centered at various times in New York, Boston, and Cincinnati. He was at one time the organ teacher at the New England Conservatory in Boston, and also the organist for the Music Hall in Boston and later the same post in Cincinnati.
