Description: Source: Susato, Liber octavus sacrarum cantionum 5 vocum, 1553. Susato gives the composer as Anonymous ('Incertus author'), but an extant Quintus book published by Antonio Gardano in 1547 - part of a collection of motets exclusively by 'Comes' - attributes the work to Bartholomeus Comes, or le Conte. (Gardano's Quintus part corresponds to Susato's Tenor).
