Latin text Ave virgo sanctissima, Dei mater piissima, Maris stella clarissima. Salve semper gloriosa, Margaritta pretiosa, Sicut lilium formosa, Rubicunda velut rosa.

English translation Hail you virgin most holy, gracious mother of God bright Star of the Sea. Hail you ever glorious, most precious pearl, fair as the lily, red as the rose.
