English text
Now that Thy Hand, O Lord, is raised in Peace,
Now that Thy chast’ning sword is sheat’d once more,
How can we ever thank Thee for Thy mercy?
How can we serve Thee better than before?
May we press on in the footsteps of our heroes,
Whose deeds arise like incense to their God.
May those who live, as those who died for honour,
Now also prove Devotion unto Death.
