Passo la notte buia, ecco venuto'il giorno,
tutto di luce adorno,
Alleluia.

Quel Signor che fu morto,
nell' aspra et dura Croce,
vinta la morte atroce,
hoggi vivo et risorto.

Esce da chiusa pietra,
quasi folgore ardente,
onde l'armata gente,
sbigottita, s'arretra.

L'emple nemiche squadre
cadono à terra morte,
deh chi fia che ne porte,
nov'all' afflitta Madre.
