Welcome, spring, with all thy flowers,
Children fair of teeming earth;
Welcome, sunshine; welcome, showers;
Harbingers of Nature’s birth.
Welcome, summer days of pleasure;
Welcome, leafy-laden trees;
Welcome to thy skies of azure,
And, thy balmy western breeze.

Welcome, Autumn; glad, we hail thee,
Fruitful child, of plenty born;
Welcome, vines that never fail thee;
Welcome, sheaves of golden corn.
Welcome, with thy frosty dressings,
Winter, clad in holly green;
Rich man’s bounty, poor man’s blessings,
’Neath thy jovial smile are seen.

Seasons all, with joy we meet ye,
As in varied course ye move;
Gratefully ’tis ours to greet ye,
Gifts divine of heaven-born love.
Spring’s sweet flowerets intertwining,
Summer, with thy sunny rays;
Autumn, winter, all combining,
Joyful sing in nature’s praise.
