Latin :
Vox clara ecce intonat,
obscura quaeque increpat:
procul fugentur somnia;
ab aethere Christus promicat.

2 Mens iam resurgat torpida
quae sorde exstat saucia;
sidus refulget iam novum,
ut tollat omne noxium.

3 E sursum Agnus mittitur
laxare gratis debitum;
omnes pro indulgentia
vocem demus cum lacrimis,

4 Secundo ut cum fulserit
mundumque horror cinxerit,
non pro reatu puniat,
sed nos pius tunc protegat.

5 Summo Parenti gloria
Natoque sit victoria,
et Flamini laus debita
per saeculorum saecula. Amen

Loose Translation into English :
Behold, a clear voice is sounding
In darkness, which we blame for sin.
Put from us evil dreams, for still
Christ draws us now to bliss, not ill.

For now the slothful mind we raise
Wounded by sin in diverse ways:
A new star shines and makes bright day
All harmful things to drive away.

A Lamb is sent down from above,
Repeals our debts and just for love.
We all give voice to him and keep
Our search for grace with eyes that weep.

When he shall come to us again
As dread shall fill this world with pain
Although our sins will Him offend
Yet this meek Lamb will us defend.

All Laud and honour, joy, virtue
Be now to God and son, Jesu
And Holy Ghost with praise we show'r
Both three and one of greatest pow'r.
Amen
