Life

Born: 24 September 1955

Biography: Stuart Brown started composing when at Truro School in Cornwall. His compositions include a number of Christian worship songs that he himself describes as intended for "churches who want modern worship music in a serious yet accessible idiom". His most notable non-sacred composition is the Toccata for piano, written in 1999 for the Japanese pianist Makiko Nakachi. His most recent Christmas carol "Light in darkness" (October 2009) has been described in glowing terms by a number of people.
