S'arreser gli occhi a due gran luci chiare
Ch'abbagliati restaro onde fui preso
Da un duro sonno, e le mie cure amore
Io diedi in preda a lui perché tal peso
Se gli convenne, e tosto i vidi rare
Meraviglie che m'han per sempre offeso
Io resto da l'estremo chiaro oppresso
E a l'altro estremo oscuro fui commesso.
