O welch ein Zeit,
o welch ein Freud!
O welch ein Fest
muss sein gewest,
da der Adam
sein Weib erst nahm.

Ein Mann ohn Sünd,
ein Gottesfreund
mit seim Gemahl.
Wer weiß den Saal?
Kein Mensch nach ihm
ist kommen drein.
Christus daraus
kommt uns zu Trost.
Der Bräutigam
richt neu Freud an.
