General Information

Title: Missa Sing ich nit wohl
Composer: Nicolas Champion
Lyricist:
Number of voices: 5vv   Voicing: SATTB
Genre: SacredMass

Language: Latin
Instruments: A cappella

First published: ca. 1520
Description: The title of the mass in the first source is “Missa Sing ich nit wohl”, in the second source “Missa dulcis Saxsonie”. The tenor only sings the cantus firmus, sections of which can easily be fitted to the words “Sing ich nit wohl, so ist mir leid”, a song about which I haven’t been able to find any information, so supposedly lost.
