Latin.png Latin text

Maria stabat ad monumentum foris, plorans.
Dixit: Tulerunt Dominum meum, et nescio ubi posuerunt eum.
Dicunt ei angeli: Mulier, quid ploras?
Surrexit sicut dixit: praecedet vos in Galilaeam; ibi eum videbitis.
Alleluia.

Congratulamini mihi omnes qui diligitis Dominum,
quia quem quaerebam apparuit mihi;
et dum flerem ad monumentum,
vidi Dominum Jesum meum.
Alleluia.

English.png English translation

Mary stood outside the tomb, weeping.
She said: They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.
The angels said to her: Woman, why are you weeping?
He has risen, as he said: he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him.
Alleluia.

Rejoice with me, all you who love the Lord,
for the one I was seeking has appeared to me;
and while I was weeping at the tomb,
I saw my Lord Jesus.
Alleluia.
