Biography

Ignaz Traumihler was the choirmaster of the St. Florian Abbey. and a leading proponent of the Cecilian Movement for the reform of church music. Bruckner dedicated both his Magnificat and motet Os justi to the choirmaster. The Os justi was written for the celebration of Traumihler’s name-day.
