Biography
Daniel Franklin Hodges was born in Belfast, Maine. He became a poet and composer, teaching for some time at Wesleyan Seminary. He died in Phillips, Maine. He wrote pedagogical music books, including part songs; collections of church music, including anthems; hymns; two operettas; one dramatic cantata; and a number of sheet music pieces.
