Aliases: Barick Bulman
Biography Baruch Bulman must have been christened after the author of the Book of Baruch, one of the biblical apocrypha. He seems not to have been identified, but may possibly have had connections with post-reformation London. His only surviving vocal/choral composition survives in a source that may have originated in this area. It could have been written at any time between 1553 (its words are a prayer by Thomas Becon published in that year) and its copying c.1565.
”A Pauen by Mr Bulman” for lute in GB-Glasgow University Library, Ms Euing 25 is an altogether more competent composition than the anthem and may be by a later composer with the same surname.
