Alleluja,
quando jam emersit e vinculis sepulchri
Draconis stygii triumphator,
exultate animis, alleluja.
Revecta sunt coelorum aeterna gaudia,
alleluja,
saltate coeli cuncta elementa,
victoria celebri triumpho parta est nobis per Christum Dominum,
justitiae solem radicantem
mecum recinite, alleluja.

German.png German translation

Halleluja,
weil aus den Fesseln des Grabes
der Bezwinger des Unterweltdrachen wieder auferstanden ist,
darum jauchzt in euren Seelen, halleluja.
Zurückgekehrt sind die ewigen Freuden der Himmel,
halleluja,

Translation by Gerhard Weydt
English.png English translation

Hallelujah,
since risen from the bonds of the grave
is the conqueror of the snake of the Styx,
exult with joyous soul, hallelujah.
The eternal heavenly joys have returned,
hallelujah,
jump to the sky, all elements,
victory has been brought to us with festive triumph
by Christ, our Lord,
the radiant1 sun of justice
resound with me, hallelujah!

1: 'radicantem' was interpreted as a misspelling of 'radiantem', because 'taking root' makes no sense in this context.
