Biography

Studied Singing with Mariana You Chi You, Counterpoint with Rafael Eguilaz and Composition with Alicia Díaz de la Fuente. Has participated in musical improvement courses (Aula de música de Alcalá, CDMC, Universidad Carlos III) in the fields of Singing, Contemporary Music Analysis, Choral Conducting and Electroacoustic Music, among others. Continued his singing studies at the Federico Moreno Torroba Conservatory in Madrid and completed the Master Class in Lyric Singing at the Carlos III University of Madrid.

As a performer he has been part of several rock bands as a keyboardist and bassist. He has also participated as lead singer in the musical "Metamorphosis" and in several contemporary music premieres of his own works (Buscando deseperadamente un lugar donde SER, Los tres relojes de Baroja, Vinde Nenas, De perfumes y especias, La inteligencia es cosa de dos) and also by other composers ("Somnus" by Alicia Díaz de la Fuente, "Invocación al Fuego" by Manuel Dimbwadyo).

Experienced choralist, with more than 200 concerts to his credit, he has been part of the following ensembles: Choir of the Municipal Music Schools of the Madrid City Council, Grupo Vocal Siglo XXI, La Voz Humana, Mater Saule and Alta Capella. Since 2005, he has been a member of the prestigious Vocal Group In Hora Sexta.

He seeks interaction between different arts within the same work: dance, poetry, theater, plastic expression and music merge freely in his works. He preferentially opts for vocal music (voice and piano, voice with instrumental accompaniment, choir, musical theater and opera), and is a member of the Madrid Association of Contemporary Composers (AMCC).
