Finale Notepad is free to download, and the other products increase in cost, and capability ranging through the Finale, which has the most capability, and costs the most. All products within the family can open and print files created with any other member of the family from the same or earlier versions, thus, for example, Finale Notepad 2007 can print a file from Finale 2006. No version of the family can open a file from a later version of the software, so Finale 2006 cannot open a file created with Finale Notepad 2007.
