Hi! I don't remember if our paths ever crossed in Davis, but welcome to CPDL and thanks for the many fine editions! Richard Mix (talk) 00:38, 4 June 2020 (UTC)

Many thanks! I've been meaning to post these six-dozen-or-so editions for years. There's no time like quarantine. I studied at Davis in 1993-94, then 1996-99 -- it feels like a geological epoch ago! Thanks for the warm welcome. I look forward to posting any forthcoming editions more quickly. (Cannonesque (talk) 00:52, 4 June 2020 (UTC))
It's possible, then. I wasn't in UCD but sang in masterclasses with Susan Narucki & Dorothea Brinkmann c. '93-4, and later was a regular in the Early Music Ensemble. Other acquaintances we might have in common are Ross Bauer, a neighbor here in El Cerrito, and Jon Elkus, my wife's publisher, sheltering in Oakland last we heard. Goodness! David Nutter, who directed EME, taught my Baroque music history class, and Ross taught twentieth-century music theory. Please give Ross my best when you may see him! I think of him fondly whenever I encounter Debussy, Schoenberg, or Webern in particular. Jon -- who forever remains "Mr. Elkus" in my imagination -- of course directed the marching band, which my now wife played in. He inevitably became a kind friend during those years. A few weeks ago we saw a wonderful article telling of Jon Elkus leading impromptu singing during quarantine at the retirement center where he and his wife now live. The world is indeed small.
