Catalan.png Catalan text

Va vogant al compas,
ben seguit bufa el vent!

A nem cap a la barca
que jeu com brau dormit
al bell mig de la platja
a nem hi tot seguit.

Posem la dintre l'aigüa
saltem hi tots a dins
doncs flota a les onades
com ploma de pèlfi.

Cantem vogant,
cantem cara al vent!

Avant barca divina
arca dels béns marins
amb vol fi de gavina
a dintre't mar en dins.

Baten sos rems les aigües
amb xipoteig festiu
i un serrell blanc d'escuma
li va fent el xiu xiu.

La xarxa està ben plena:
la pesca ha acabat
la mar ja s'aserena
i el sol s'ens ha amagat.

La lluna platejada
s'enfila a l'horitzó,
la fosca ja s'atança
tornem la barca a port.

Cantem companys al vent
la cançó de les onades.
Cantem de cara al vent
que ens refresca el pensament.

Va vogant bufa el vent

Anem cap a la platja que ve la nit
Apa nois que ve la nit!

English.png English translation

Let’s go to the fishing boat
that lies as a slept bull
at the middle of the beach,
let’s go at once there!…

Let’s carry it out at sea
All we let’s jump into it:
since it floats on the waves
as feather of fine hair…

(Refrain:)
My friendo let’s sing to the wind
the song of the waves;
let’s sing face to the wind,
that cheers up the our mind!…

Come in,you,lovely boat
ark of divine goods,
with gull’s a fine flight
get just out at the sea!…

The oars strike the waters
with also a witty splash,
and surf’s a white fringe
is a good ehisper for it…
(to the refrain)

The net is full of fishes,
the fishing is already ended;
the sea is also quiet
The sunset is just arrived.

The silver-platet moon
rises on the horizon;
the darkness just is coming;
let’s bring back the boat to harbour!…
(to the refrain)

ENDING:
The wind blows,It’s blowing…
Let’s go to the beach
because the night is coming…
Cheer up, boys! the night is coming!
