Description: Written for an Anzac Day Dawn Service for performance by a small group of enthusiastic amateurs. Parts were doubled down the octave by the males in the choir. The setting attempts to evoke golden memories of youth, contrasted with the sad reality of the present day.

For golden friends I had,
For many a roselipt maiden
And many a lightfoot lad.
By brooks too broad for leaping
The lightfoot boys are laid;
The roselipt girls are sleeping
In fields where roses fade.
