Biography
William Marsh was the composer of A Set of New Psalm & Hymn Tunes Composed in a Familiar Style, published for him by James Peck of 47, Lombard St, London, and 'Sold by the Author Palace St. Canterbury'.
The preface to this collection states:
'The Author of this Work begs permission to acknowledge the obligation he is under to Mr THOMAS CLARK of Canterbury (Whose Compositions are so highly distinguished by Public Approbation) for his kind assistance in correcting the HARMONY for Public inspection.
July 1st 1816.'
