Edition notes: Edition: A version from the Cantionale Sacrum I which has both Latin and German texts for the music; the Latin version has – for reasons of space – been separated and is to be found in Heu! quid jaces stabulo (Melchior Franck). The German text has in a few cases been corrected from some hymnals. In addition to the original pitch the edition contains a version transposed down a minor third.
