Biography
Italian Renaissance composer and organist of the Venetian School. Organist at the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice, 1568–1584. Won the first organist position at St. Mark's, alongside second organist Giovanni Gabrieli, in 1586, nine months before his death.
