== Why doesn't the composer's given name show? ==
I've commented out the detail to save space. Summary: du Caurroy does not appear under D in composers section because lowercase d is sorted after capital Z. Includes how to fix.

This is my first time using the request feature. Any idea why the composer's given name Eustache does not show up even though I input it? Did I mess up the formatting? Also, do things show up immediately on the Requests page or does it get indexed in batches? Tx.

:Hi Vaarky. Thanks for creating this request. I've moved your message here and I've just fixed [[ChoralWiki:ScoreRequest]] which was causing the composer's first name to not display. I don't know why clicking on the discussion tab takes you to the (as yet uncreated) score page for the request, a question that I have posed to [[User talk:CHGiffen#Score requests|Chuck]]. The request page should appear in the category soon after it has been created. If you're referring to [[ChoralWiki/Requested articles|this request list]], it won't be added to that page as it is out of date and will be deleted in the fullness of time... Let me know if you have any other problems. --[[User:Bobnotts|Bobnotts]] <small>[[User talk:Bobnotts|'''talk''']]</small> 07:16, 31 July 2008 (PDT)
::Thanks for fixing that. It was the [http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php?title=Category:Requests_by_composer&from=C|"Requests_by_composer"] page where I did not see the piece listed (that page also covers composers starting with the letter D). --[[User:Vaarky|Vaarky]] 07:47, 31 July 2008 (PDT)
:::Hi Vaarky, because of the wiki's distinction between lower and upper case, ''du Caurroy'' is sorted differently from ''Du Caurroy''. Look again in [[:Category:Requests by composer]] and you'll find your request ''after'' letter Z. A solution for this could be to add in your request page the following:
:::<tt><nowiki>[[Category:Requests by composer|Du Caurroy, Eustache]]</nowiki></tt>.

::::Thanks--added category to that piece and also the 3 others there: Gesualdo, Padilla and De La Rue. --[[User:Vaarky|Vaarky]] 16:23, 31 July 2008 (PDT)

Privacy policy

Hi Vaarky! I saw your interest in page ChoralWiki:Privacy_policy. In fact, looking at the logs I saw that this page was created by a spammer on 27 December 2007 and deleted by Robert on the same day; it was recreated 4 days later by the spammer and this time blanked by Robert. So it has never held any information of value, that's why I deleted it. If you wish to work on this page even so, the easiest way would be to copy for instante the text from http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_policy and make the appropriate changes. Thanks —Carlos mail_icon.gif 16:07, 27 July 2008 (PDT)

Thanks for the information. That's the same place I was thinking of starting. Will try to get you folks a draft soon. --Vaarky 17:08, 27 July 2008 (PDT)

NULLRequests

Hi Vaarky, I made the changes you suggested to those two Request pages, but after they were moved, their talk pages became inaccessible, so I am replying to you here instead. —Carlos mail_icon.gif 12:18, 29 August 2008 (PDT)

Thanks, Carlos. --Vaarky 09:14, 30 August 2008 (PDT)
Does this mean any time you move a page, all the Talk discussion associated with it is lost? If so, is there a way to fix that? I will minimize moving things unless I hear otherwise. --Vaarky 02:12, 6 September 2008 (PDT)
No Vaarky, the problem was only with the Requests talk pages, that were inaccessible because of a server misconfiguration that has already been solved (see here). Usually when you move a page there is an option (checked by default) to also move the talk page, if it exists. —Carlos mail_icon.gif 03:13, 6 September 2008 (PDT)
