Hi Huub. I have sent this in an email to you earlier but you have either not noticed or ignored my request. Of course, I would like to assume the former. You added :Category:Latin texts to a number of score pages which are of your compositions with Latin texts. This category is added automatically by the text template and should apply to a score page when the text is on the page itself. If there is a link to a text page, there should not be :Category:Latin texts as the text exists somewhere else. I have reverted those edits again where appropriate. Please understand that I am not disputing the fact that these works have Latin texts, merely that the text is located on another page and not the score page. Please do not add the category to those pages again. --Bobnotts <small>talk</small> 00:43, 23 January 2008 (PST)

: May I point out, in particular, that the first sentence of :Category:Latin texts reads:  "Texts of works that are originally in Latin."  These pages may be either: (1) "Text pages" with Latin texts (and translations into other languages) of multiple works employing the Latin text in question (with a list of links to these works); or, (2) individual choral works pages where the Latin texts (and translations) are given on the works pages and are not used as text for any other works at CPDL (at least in theory, because there are some text duplications which are in the process of being combined onto separate text pages).  In other words, any page categorized in that category must have the actual Latin text of the work in question on that page. -- Chuck<small>talk</small>&nbsp;[[User:Charles H. Lyricist line on score pages

Hi Huub. Your most recent edit to "The Little Black Boy" has reverted some of the alterations that I made. Please note that the lyricist should appear as a line below "composer" under general information and not under the title "Original text and translations". I have made the alterations to page now; please don't change it back. Thanks --Bobnotts talk 17:42, 15 September 2007 (PDT)

To clarify: CPDL is in the process of implementing new standards, one of which includes adding a Lyricist: or Source of lyrics: line right after the composer line on a choral works page. I don't think that this standard is presently meant to exclude the possibility of the lyricist's name to appear in the Original text and translations section where such name has frequently (but not always) appeared in the past, if at all. I have taken the present action of including Wm Blake's name in both places in hopes that the issue might be settled, at least for now and until such time as the policy is further reviewed. -- Chucktalk Giffen 23:58, 16 September 2007 (PDT)

How many of your scores are you planning on removing?

Hi Huub. I've just noticed all your delete requests. (The best way to mark a page for deletion, by the way, is to use the "delnow" template, instructions for which are on the talk page.) May I ask why you want these scores removed and if there are many more that you want deleted. (Allow me to emphasise that I am not trying to suggest that you cannot have your works removed if you so wish, I'm merely interested.) All the best --Bobnotts talk 20:33, 15 October 2007 (PDT)

Text categories on score pages

Hi Huub. I have sent this in an email to you earlier but you have either not noticed or ignored my request. Of course, I would like to assume the former. You added Category:Latin texts to a number of score pages which are of your compositions with Latin texts. This category is added automatically by the text template and should apply to a score page when the text is on the page itself. If there is a link to a text page, there should not be Category:Latin texts as the text exists somewhere else. I have reverted those edits again where appropriate. Please understand that I am not disputing the fact that these works have Latin texts, merely that the text is located on another page and not the score page. Please do not add the category to those pages again. --Bobnotts talk 00:43, 23 January 2008 (PST)

May I point out, in particular, that the first sentence of Category:Latin texts reads: "Texts of works that are originally in Latin." These pages may be either: (1) "Text pages" with Latin texts (and translations into other languages) of multiple works employing the Latin text in question (with a list of links to these works); or, (2) individual choral works pages where the Latin texts (and translations) are given on the works pages and are not used as text for any other works at CPDL (at least in theory, because there are some text duplications which are in the process of being combined onto separate text pages). In other words, any page categorized in that category must have the actual Latin text of the work in question on that page. -- Chucktalk Giffen 05:42, 23 January 2008 (PST)
