English text
1. Today we are gathered to join in a feast,
a medley pf people, the outcast, the priest,
the sinful, the lonely, the bent, and the odd,
together we come for the marriage of God.
2. The earth celebrates the excess of spring,
the stars fling out silver and gold for new rings,
the cosmos refashions immutable laws,
as quasars and quarks flash delighted applause.
3. We bring simple gifts and stand poised to rejoice,
the praise the Beloved, God's partner of choice.
But praise becomes wonder -- we learn it is we
the Holy has chosen as partner-to-be.
4. So ring the bells loudly, pour into the streets
and gather whomever you happen to meet.
Invite and cajole them, encourage and prod --
let none go unasked to the marriage of God.
