That Easter morn in a garden serene
an entrance now open to where Christ's tomb had been
Two of His disciples, both Mary in name,
found the stone rolled back and not Jesus, for whom they came

"Fear not ye, for I know that ye seek
Jesus, which was crucified", an angel did speak
"He is not here for He is risen"
Glory to God for He is risen

That Easter morn those women ran out
to tell Christ's disciples what they had seen in the garden
As they went Christ met them, they held Him and they worshipped Him
Glory to God for He is risen
