Score #2881
Magnificat
Bar 48: Tenor E on strength should be D.
Bar 52: Soprano F G on ma-gi- should probably be E F, to match the Tenor two beats later. Accompaniment is wrong as well, in that case.
Bar 100: Soprano C on A- should be B

Provenance?

Both editions here seem to be identical copies of a modern published reconstruction (in copyright). (The Organ part and upper voices do not survive, and have been reconstructed by Michael Walsh: OUP, 1990, and others.)

It would be useful to identify the source material from which these CPDL editions were created.

I agree. The organ part and uppermost part are clearly identical to Michael Walsh's reconstruction and thus these editions are in breach of copyright. I will propose their deletion and remove them before long unless there are any objections. Droopop (talk) 22:23, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
I should add that the above also applies for Ben Newton's edition which is essentially a reformatting of the two illegal editions. Droopop (talk) 22:25, 6 October 2023 (UTC)

"in D"

A pet peeve of mine is ascriptions to key centres in Tudor (or earlier) music. Could the title be amended to as it is listed on the works page please? i.e. as 'Sixth Service "in Verse for Two Counter-tenors"' Droopop (talk) 23:59, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
