Apparently, someone at the Miller Theatre changed their server setup:
- Changed the name of the "default document" OR
- Changed the server to no longer provide the default document for URLs ending with a slash OR
- Something else
I went back to the site and requesting the default document by name … and the site seemed just fine to me.
I suggest that checking explicitly for the presence of the default document—index.html
or default.html
—should be the first troubleshooting step if a site seems to have disappeared.
