Text source

Does anyone have more information on the source of this anthem? Christopher Tye lived a century before John Austin. Did Austin set the text? Is it an arrangement of a secular piece? --Thomascantor (talk) 14:33, 17 August 2016 (UTC)

That's a good question! A couple of sites inform that the text is "a metrical version of Chapter II of the Actes of the Apostles, 1552." but without giving any attribution. I'll let you know if I find something else. —Carlos (talk) 04:42, 18 August 2016 (UTC)

The music is from Tye's Actes of the Apostles no. 2. The lyrics are unrelated.
