Tune vs. Text

Regarding the proposed merge of this page with Adeste fideles, my understanding is that this page is a "Tune page" while the other is a "Text page". This tune page, presumably, can be used to list settings that use this tune, even if they set other texts, while the text page can be used to list settings of that text, even if set to different tunes. Perhaps, if I am correct, a new naming convention is required to clarify the difference between pages like these. - GeoffG (talk) 01:36, 10 June 2023 (UTC)

A good point. The convention for tunes that is widespread elsewhere is (small) all caps: ADESTE FIDELES. This would be less confusing than "fideles" vs. "Fideles"! Richard Mix (talk) 21:53, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
