'Description: Published in Moore's Columbian Harmony, 1826, p. 135, for three parts: Treble-Tenor-Bass. This tune was reprinted in William Walker's Southern Harmony, 1835, p. 166, for three parts; and in The Sacred Harp, p. 61, 1844 to the present. William Hauser revised it and added an Alto part in his Hesperian Harp, 1848; and Hauser's four-part tune was reprinted in William Walker's Christian Harmony, 1867. Hauser's Alto part was added to The Sacred Harp after 1911. Words by John A. Granade, 1804, with seven or eight stanzas.
