Stehe auf, meine Freundin, meine Schöne, und komm her.
Denn siehe, der Winter ist vergangen, der Regen ist dahin;
der Blumen sind herfür kommen in unsern Lande.
Zeige mir deine Gestalt, lass mich hören deine Stimme;
denn deine Stimm ist süsse, und dein Gestalt ist lieblich.
Mein Freund ist mein, und ich bin sein, der unter den Rosen weidet,
bis der Tag kühle werde und der Schatten weiche, kehre umb;
werde wie ein Rehe, mein Freund, oder wie ein junger Hirsch auf den Scheidebergen.

English translation

Rise up, my love, my fair one and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth.
Let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice;
for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.
My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies.
Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved,
and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains.
