A glee for jovial, happy Spring,
The season when the nightingale
In rapture doth her heart outfling,
Rejoicing ev'ry hill and dale.
With song we'll laud the jovial Spring,
As doth the voiceful nightingale;
We'll let our voices cheerful ring,
And tuneful make the woodland vale,

All glory to the jovial Spring,
The season of the nightingale;
Like her, its praises will we sing,
And greet it with a loud "All hail."
