French text Si pour aymer et desirer ie congnois mon faict empirer cest estrange fachon de faire si langueur qui te peult tirer le faict ores retirer cest bien loing de me satisfaire mais pour te dire mon affaire et a quoy ie suis coustumier quant ie vois qu'on me veult deffaire ie veulx commencer le premier Modern French Si pour aimer et désirer, je constate que ma conduite s'empire. C'est étrange façon d'agir, si langueur peut t'attirer. Cependant, retirer cette conduite c'est bien loin de me satisfaire. Et pour te dire mon affaire et à quoi je suis coutumier: quand on veut me faire du tort, je veux commencer le premier.

English translation When it comes to love and desire I feel my behaviour deteriorating. A strange way to act, for sure, when spleen attracts you. Yet, doing away with this behaviour is not what I endeavour. Just telling you my cause and the things I routinely endure: whenever others want to hurt me, I am way ahead of them.
